Hello
C. R. Thomas is a Christian wife and mother. God has used biblical counseling and the doctrines of grace to give her greater passion for Jesus Christ and His word. She enjoys reading, playing her antique piano, and hiking in the mountains. (And, of course, spending time with any family, dogs, cats, and horses around her.)
My Story
From a young age, I discovered that writing my thoughts was much easier than saying them. Not because I'm ashamed of speaking but because brain-to-speech has always been difficult. God has used writing to help me process life more profitably since I was 9 years old.
I have a blog called Confessions of a Broken Sparrow, a birds'-eye view of God's counseling sessions in my life. Processing childhood sexual abuse. Rejection from my father. The death of my mother. The ups and downs of my spiritual journey. Grace and joy. Sorrows and hope. Brokenness by shame, and then brokenness in the love of Christ.
I also started something called the Lunchbox Bible Study. Life is overwhelming when we're busy or depressed or wrestling through loss. The seasons of life are constantly changing. We don't want "fluffy" Christianity when we're drowning, but we can't always digest longer Bible studies. The Lunchbox has depth and brevity. I'm writing through 1 & 2 Samuel first and will be sharing them on Substack. SUBSCRIBE
